Brunch at Empellón Cocina with Imbibe

[Translate] The cool bar at Empellón Cocina; Olmeca Altos Blanco Tequila with Bloody Mary mixes This past weekend, I attended one of Manhattan Cocktail Classic‘s events, brunch at Empellón Cocina, hosted by Imbibe magazine and Olmeca Altos Tequila. This brunch event is fun as you meet fellow imbibers who are willing to have tequila mixed cocktails at 11 AM and of course, have incredible food since Empellón is an excellent restaurant for the new wave of Mexican cuisine. We started out with the Siesta cocktail, a mix of Olmeca Altos Blanco tequila, fresh grapefruit, and Campari. This bright, pleasantly acidic..

Hill Country Barbecue Market Brooklyn: Delicious Texas-Style ‘Cue

[Translate] Last night we went to Hill Country Barbecue Market Brooklyn, Hill Country Barbecue’s recent addition to their brand as it’s slightly more than two months old. What I like about Hill Country Barbecue is the fact it’s very good Texas-style barbecue. Their signature item is the moist (in other words, fatty) brisket and as an omnivore with carnivorous leanings, you must get that or you will regret it. (Still) Very Good Dinner at ABC Kitchen

[Translate] I’m a fan of Executive Chef Dan Kluger’s delicious food at ABC Kitchen. I still remembered when I was last here (at least documented on this site or any social media) and a few days before this dinner, I was cooking with him the New York Culinary Experience. The cooking class at the Culinary Experience weekend reignited my adoration for Kluger’s food, especially that amazing pea toast that I talked gushed about it to a friend who hasn’t eaten at ABC Kitchen before. So, we ended up making dinner plans there since he was intrigued about the pea toast...
