Wester Wijnfabriek is located in the Westergarten area of Amsterdam. It’s a wine bar, wine shop, wine lab and wine tasting all under one roof.
The bar of Wester Wijnfabriek Amsterdam is downstairs, where we hanged out. Warm wood and marble makes up the bar, making it feel cozy and chic at the same time. (This place feels totally right for a first date.) In the bar part you can order sandwiches and bites that match the natural wines perfectly.
We started off our tasting with a wonderful French pear cider by Pacory. Fruity, sweet but not overtly with just a bit of bubbly. We had at least four other wines (all were great but it became a delicious, hazy blur) and we snacked on wonderful charcuterie like Spanish jamon, Manchengo cheese, Marcona almonds, boquerones (marinated anchovies), prosciutto and other tasty items on the cheese and meats board.
