Comfortable Stay at Hotel Palomar (Washington, D.C.)

The cozy lobby

During our weekend out in D.C., we stayed at Hotel Palomar, a Kimpton Hotel, in Dupont Circle. This hotel is stylish and sophisticated with modern, art-focused design. Since it is located in Dupont Circle, it’s in the center of everything of cultural spots, restaurants and the tourist destinations — most are within walking distance.

Having hot chocolate during the hotel's hot chocolate hour

The hotel has a cozy, streamlined lobby that’s great for taking some time off to relax. They offer complimentary tea or coffee to start your morning. Hot chocolate is offered at the lobby on the afternoons since it’s chilly in D.C. and the sugar kick to keep you going. There’s even a hosted wine hour every evening to get a sense of community and meet your fellow hotel mates.

Our Queen Queen Room at Hotel Palomar
Modern art work in our room

Our spacious, comfortable room has two queen size beds with custom 300-thread count Egyptian cotton Frette linens, a large flat screen TV, and even a clean yoga mat. Modern, abstract art hung on the walls. A large, clean bathroom that could almost pass for a size of an average New York City apartment.

A warm welcome with cheese and wine

What really tops the stay is welcoming me with a delectable plate of cheeses and wine. That is hospitality and a warm welcome to Washington, D.C.
