New York magazine’s 16th annual signature event New York Taste was a sold out event is hosted by culinary editor Gillian Duffy. It featured more than 40 of the city’s most celebrated chefs and mixologists. Chef superstars include pastry chef Jennifer Yee of Lafayette, Bryce Shuman and Eamon Rockey of Betony, former Top Chef contestant Dale Talde, and Iron Chef’s Masaharu Morimoto.
A portion of the proceeds from the evening will be donated to City Harvest to help fight hunger. More than 1,000 guests attended and there was live music by Seth Kessel and the Two Cent Band.

At the VIP Lounge – Tamarind braised pork belly, cauliflower, tomatillo, chipotle tamarind glaze by Danny Espinoza of Dinner Lab
Sweet potato custard with pain d.epices and chestnuts by Nomad
Root Beer Cheesecake Parfait by The Back Room
South Shore Sundae – sweet roll, caramelized lobster, candied potatoes, buttered sweet corn ice cream by High Road Craft Ice Cream
