Father’s Day Gift Suggestions (2015)

I’m keeping this year’s Father’s Day gift ideas on the short side this year since I’m working on several things that keeps me from going to the distance I usually do with gift guides. But sticking with the norm of what fathers do like, here’s my favorite three things I would give to my dad.

Maille Father's Day 2015 Gift Set

The heritage French mustard brand, Maille had created a handsome gift set containing a trio of delicious flavored mustards ($40) — Cognac, black olive and blue cheese. These robust mustards are fantastic with anything from sandwiches to grilled fish and meats.

Stripling's Pork and Beef Jerky

Meat jerky is delicious, lean, high protein, savory snack that appeals to the carnivore. Stripling’s General Store is based in Cordele, Georgia who create deliciously smoky and flavorful jerky. They come in two great flavors (mild and spicy) and types of meat (pork and beef). The spicy flavor on either meats does make your mouth burn up a bit but it’s the kind of spicy that grows on you and want you to eat more. (The jerky starts at $2.49 for 2 ounce vacuum packed bags.)

Lavazza Single Origins Coffee - Santa Marta & Kilimanjaro

The legendary 120-year old Italian coffee brand, Lavazza is a great source of espresso and coffee beans for your home. Their most recent product is the single origin beans, specifically, the Kilimanjaro – Tanzania and Santa Marta – Colombia (12 ounce bag, $9.99 each). The Kilimanjaro yields a wonderfully acidic, red-fruit cup of coffee. The Santa Marta is a wonderfully balanced, hazelnut nuanced cup of coffee. Either beans will not go wrong and will give your father a good start in the morning.
