J. Dumangin Fils Rosé Champagné
With the Oscar’s coming up this weekend, hosting an intimate, glamorous dinner party at home calls for a fine bottle of Champagne (with good food, of course). I recently came across Henri’s Reserve, an e-boutique that specializes in curating small, artisan Champagne houses. They sell its best Champagnes that connoisseurs would know about but not easily found in wine shops (at least within NYC).
I recently gotten myself J. Dumangin Fils Rosé Champagné NV ($55). I couldn’t find this particular house’s Champagnes around New York City but have heard of it because of Paul McCartney served this on his recent wedding. Anyway, it is made of 54% Chardonnay, 46% Pinot Noir and 15% Pinot Meunier. It has a refreshing, mellow, citrus-background wine with a very pretty pale pink shade. It’s great with seafood dishes and light canapés.
Now I know where I can find, what used to be hard to find Champagnes and they also do sell gift sets of Champagnes that would be great for housewarming presents to monthly clubs for birthday or wedding gifts.
