Here are a list of food events that I think are worthwhile going to (this page will be periodically updated):

This year’s 8th annual LUCKYRICE New York Feast will be held in the grand Mandarin Oriental overlooking Central Park. Of equal majesty, find restauranteur and culinary icon, Anita Lo, in the ballroom as she wines, dines and inspires the next generation of rising talent as we honor her contributions to the Asian culinary world. Indulge in cuisine prepared by a curated list of New York’s finest Asian restaurateurs (like Babu Ji, Hanjan & Danji, Osamil, Tim Ho Wan, and many others) and mixologists but be sure to save room for the first ever dessert bar.

Lemon: NYC is an exclusive culinary event benefiting Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation and the fight against childhood cancer. Hosted by Chef Alex Guarnaschelli of the Food Network and Butter Restaurant, Lemon: NYC brings over 25 top chefs to craft their signature dishes for a limited number of guests.

Located in the Metropolitan Pavilion in the heart of Chelsea, guests will rub elbows with culinary superstars while sampling innovative tasting plates and sipping on signature cocktails.

All proceeds from this event will benefit childhood cancer research!

New York Coffee Festival

Price: VIP single day $45 ($60 in person) to Standard $24 ($30 in person)

Over 100 innovative exhibitors including Bluestone Lane Coffee, Devoción, La Marzocco, Ally Coffee, Califia Farms, Flat Brew, Nobletree, and so many more!

In addition, the Festival will also feature the Coffee Masters NYC barista championship, The Lab program’s exciting line-up of interactive demonstrations, educational workshops, talks and tastings, the Coffee Music Project, and the Coffee Art Project, Latte Art Live, The Coffee Cocktail Bar, and more!

On this year’s festival, Allegra Group CEO, Jeffrey Young shares, “The New York Coffee Festival is back for its third year with more to offer than ever before. Visitors can expect awe-inspiring exhibits, fascinating workshops and talks and delicious street food – all while enjoying as much coffee as they could possibly want! With 100% of all standard ticket sales going to Project Waterfall, we aim to raise more than $100,000 charitable funds to provide clean drinking water in coffee countries via our local partner charity: water.”

Food Film Festival

The Food Film Festival is back for its 11th consecutive year in New York City! Opening night of the festival will be a dazzling evening filled with the dishes that both inspired and were inspired by the life of America’s First Foodie, the incomparable James Beard. This year, they have some of the best Food Films we’ve seen to date, off-the-charts food and drink, and much, much more! This year’s NYC festival benefits the Billion Oyster Project, which works to restore the ecosystem in New York harbor by teaching school aged children restoration based STEM education programs.

ew York Magazine’s 19th annual edition of its signature culinary event New York Taste will be held on Monday, November 6, from 6–9 p.m. at the Waterfront New York. Hosted by New York culinary editor Gillian Duffy, the event features more than 40 celebrated chefs and rising stars on the New York restaurant scene, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to City Harvest to help fight hunger in New York City.
