During our vacation to Barcelona, we stopped by Vioko since we’ve read the shop has some seriously good gelati (plural for gelato or an Italian version of ice cream) that has more than the basic flavors. I’ve read about how great it is across all different publications from glossy print magazines, blogs, to my Instagram followers who reminded me the night before that if I’m near Montjuïc, I should go here for a quick meal. Bubó Degustation & Pastisseria Bubó is a modern, chic patisserie (pastry shop) found close to Basilica Santa Maria del Mar in the El Born district of Barcelona. Owned by the award winning pastry chef, Carles Mampel, this shop feels a tiny bit out of place because it’s smack dab in the middle of the “Old City” of Barcelona. Alkimia is walking distance from Gaudi’s awe inspiring masterpiece, La Sagrada Familia, which we have visited prior to having lunch here.
