Alexander’s Steakhouse, San Francisco

I rarely eat at a steakhouse. For the most part, I tend to think steakhouses are masculine, darkly lit places that just care about large slabs of well-marbled beef. Except when I visited Alexander’s Steakhouse in San Francisco with my family very recently, I will make an exception. Alexander’s Steakhouse is a contemporary, urban, handsome, upscale steakhouse and if you do look at their food menu, it has Asian touches. There’s exposed brick walls, booth tables and open kitchen that define the restaurant’s loft-like space. There is an upstairs dining area that is slightly more private dining area that floods..

California Dates…and Heading to California

Dried California dates I admit, the delicious dried California dates are a loose connection to the main point of this post. If you have read my tweets for the past few days, especially this afternoon, I’m heading out to California, namely San Francisco. The Next Big Small Brand 2012 at BAM The 3rd Annual The Next Big Small Brand was held at a larger venue at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) this past Tuesday. This year’s theme was New York vs. San Francisco, where three small businesses from each city held their own perspective as to what makes them unique.
