La Maison du Chocolat for Mother’s Day

[Translate] My longtime favorite French chocolate brand La Maison du Chocolat has many delicious and sophisticated chocolate options for the mother in your life and in a range of budgets. Knowing my mom this long, she’s a woman who adores Champagne and all things elegant so giving her the Effervescence Gift Box is a no brainer. This collection contains a mix of milk ganache with rosé champagne and dark ganache with brut champagne in a rose gold box. The creamy chocolates stand out but meld with each champagne’s flavors wonderfully and it’s never too sweet.

2018 Luxury Easter Chocolates

[Translate] This year’s Easter luxury chocolates are colorful, adorable and of course, absolutely delicious. One of my personal favorite French chocolate brand, La Maison du Chocolat has the traditional Easter chocolates like a chocolate rabbit (this one is the Dulcey, seen above the post’s title) filled with foiled covered chocolate praline eggs (both milk and dark chocolate). For something much more playful and whimsical, there are Easter Fish chocolate bars that comes in four varieties. The one shown here is the Clown Fish made of a luscious ivory chocolate, layered with milk praliné with almonds. The fish is available for..

Holiday Gift Guide (2017)

[Translate] This year flew warp speed for me that it’s hard to come to terms with reality that it’s almost the end of the year! It’s the unofficial start of the holiday shopping season so here’s some of my picks for the holiday gift guide: If you really want to impress your giftee with one of the ultimate and most luxurious food items in the world—fresh truffles from Gourmet Attitude. When the delivery person walks up to your door with the package of these tubers, you can smell the intense, earthy aroma (prices start at $50 per ounce and up)...

La Maison du Chocolat Icons in XXL

[Translate] The luxury French chocolate brand started by Robery Linxe, La Maison du Chocolat is turning 40. And to commemorate its anniversary, they made their legendary chocolates large (like the size of an espresso cup’s saucer). They are nestled individually within custom-metallic boxes, the ‘Grands Carrés’ collection features three classic and three more contemporary bouchées. The classics Quito (a silky dark ganache tempered with subtle notes of milk and vanilla) and Salvador has the bright acidity of raspberry paired with this dark chocolate ganache with its round, fruity flavor. The Boheme is an airy, silky, lusciousness of milk chocolate ganache..

Spring Chocolates from La Maison du Chocolat

[Translate] Easter is coming up shortly and that means chocolate! For the chocolate connoisseurs out there who love their serious chocolate but have some bit of cuteness for the holiday from La Maison du Chocolat. Nicolas Cloiseau, Master Chef of La Maison du Chocolat, captures the playfulness of spring and select farm animals and created chocolate bars with their expressive eyes fixed in chocolate. Crackling, crispy, and crunchy textures of the light and airy pralinés of Nicolas Cloiseau reveals the gourmand appeal of each character for this collection. The one I have, seen above, is Monsieur Bunny hops all dressed..

Easter 2016 Chocolates from La Maison du Chocolat

[Translate] This year for Easter at La Maison du Chocolat, the Master Chef Nicolas Cloiseau came up with a limited edition Daisy collection. This whimsical chocolate pieces are beautiful, whimsical and very delicate to handle. Of course, they are absolutely delicious. (Shown here is the egg from the Daisy collection, $45 each.) (more…)

La Maison du Chocolat’s Spring/Summer 2013 Chocolate Collections

[Translate] La Maison du Chocolat’s Duo de Ganaches: Andalouise & Yuzu La Maison du Chocolat is my longtime favorite, luxury French chocolate brand. If you read this blog long enough, I even went far enough to fly to Paris and have a tour of their impeccable chocolate factory back in 2010. Even though their Creative Director has left and Master Chef Nicolas Cloiseau took over last year, it’s interesting to see how Cloiseau would use his creative muscles and use the founder of La Maison du Chocolat, Robert Linxe, traditions. Keeping with the tradition of their annual, limited edition of..

Best Memories & Meals in 2012

[Translate] It’s kind of hard to wrap my mind that it’s almost the end of 2012. Time and life never takes a break but sometimes serendipitous things happen. (In relatively random order.) First thing in mind would be my graduation gift from the luxe chocolate and pastry brand, La Maison du Chocolat… A large Andalouise cake from La Maison du Chocolat My Andalouise cake from La Maison du Chocolat is something I never anticipated them gifting me and sending well wishes for my graduation from graduate school. This seasonal cake is intensely flavored of lemon pastry cream and chocolate mousse,..
