Last week was the fifth anniversary of Food Network’s New York City Wine & Food Festival, which hosted 130 events over the course of four days of nonstop eating and drinking last week. Here’s the highlights of the four main events I’ve attended.
Blue Moon Burger Bash hosted by Rachel Ray
Chef Hooni Kim of Danji and his dish Yook Hwe
This year’s StarChefs ICC 2012 was a short one for me personally, as I was only able to attend to the first day of this fun food symposium. That said, I still learned quite a bit from the several hours watching prominent [...]
Scenes at Let Us Eat Local: Centerpiece of local vegetables and flowers, Executive Director of Just Food Jacquie Berger, Gramercy Tavern’s Executive Chef Michael Anthony, and Microgreens passed around for sampling
Last night was the 5th Annual Just Food’s Let Us Eat Local benefit tasting at the Altman Building. There were 42 [...]
At Le Fooding’s entrance and the lengthy line
For its fourth year, upstart French culinary group Le Fooding* used Brooklyn as its muse for their five-day long dinners and brunches, taking along the young modern chefs of the United Kingdom and France to cook.
Of their numerous events, I’ve attended their Campfire [...]
The Joy of Sake’s Preview Party on Blue Ribbon Sushi Izakaya’s terrace
Last night I attended Joy of Sake‘s preview party at Blue Ribbon Sushi Izakaya. At this party, a selection of 40 gold and silver award-winning sakes from the 2011 U.S. National Sake Appraisal were served.

Chelsea Music Festival Website: http://www.chelseamusicfestival.org/ Dates: June 15th to June 23rd, 2012 Check their website for [...]
In case you haven’t read around the Internet by now, The Great Googa Mooga occurred this weekend.
Admittedly, I didn’t stay long enough on the first day (Saturday, May 19th). I was there for an hour or so and had a not-so-good time because of mainly really poor cell phone reception (obviously, this was not [...]
This past Saturday was essentially a very busy weekend packed with so many activities to do in New York City. One of the better things to do, especially during the evening was The New Taste of the Upper West Side: 5th Annual The Best of the West. It showcases best restaurants and chefs of the [...]
