Understated Luxury at St. Regis Vancouver

Bedroom at Executive Suite

St Regis Vancouver is an excellent, luxury boutique hotel in the center of downtown Vancouver. This hotel has no relation to the Starwood St. Regis Hotels but it is just as luxurious thanks to its attentive customer service and ample amenities. Rooms are outfitted with complimentary Fiji water (replenished daily), complimentary Wi-Fi access, L’Occitane toiletries and LCD TVs. But the free perks don’t stop with the accommodations: Guests also receive a complimentary breakfast for two and complimentary daily passes to the Steve Nash Sports Club, located one block west of the hotel.

Located at corner of Dunsmuir and Seymour, the St. Regis is in the heart of downtown, convenient walking distance to many of the city’s central draws, including the financial district, convention centre, GM Place, shopping at the Pacific Centre Mall and Robson Street, and foodie-friendly Gastown. It is also close to Skytrain stations — the new Canada Line, which serves the Vancouver International Airport, stops at Granville Station, a block and a half away.

We stayed at the Executive Suite room and it is quaint, clean and comfortable. The large marble bathroom has a double vanity sink; the shower is great with enough water pressure and a bench to sit when needed. The bathroom amenities include L’Occitane products. It was so cozy and quiet and the pillows are the right kind of support. We slept very well on this trip. Secure key access to guest floors and elevator.

Breakfast omlette and pastries

The breakfasts0 here were surprisingly good. This isn’t a crummy, poorly cooked breakfast or even a bowl of cereal (though you’d have that option). We have three options of a cooked breakfast (all have eggs) but varies with your carbs and you can have fresh juice and coffee. For my breakfasts here, I’ve stuck with the omelette with vegetables and pastries and fruit. Hearty, satisfying and it’s a quick stopover that you could be in and out within 30 minutes, if you wanted.
